Flexorama home page

The project

Flexorama is a mobile-first web platform for general-knowledge games, in French and English. Anyone can play without an account; signed-in players get ranked duels, the daily challenge and weekly leagues.

The product covers many game modes — solo, live and asynchronous duels, battle royale, teams, branching story quizzes, a shareable daily challenge, crosswords — and everything a consumer service needs around them: progression and leaderboards, communities and real-time chat, a Premium subscription, anti-cheat, support and an administration back office.

Architecture

  • ASP.NET Core API on .NET 10, structured with Clean Architecture, DDD and CQRS: around sixty isolated business features, each with its own commands, queries and validation.
  • Real time with SignalR, a Redis backplane and MessagePack serialization for duels and chat.
  • Angular front end with static pages pre-rendered at build time for SEO, and automated accessibility tests.
  • Azure: App Service, Static Web Apps, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure AD B2C authentication, OpenTelemetry and Application Insights monitoring.
  • Stripe payments for the Premium subscription.

AI where it helps

Flexo, a conversational assistant, is available to players on every page. Behind the scenes, AI is used to generate and validate quizzes, assist moderation and produce crossword clues at scale — always with strict validation rules on the output.

Quality

  • Several thousand automated tests on the .NET side (xUnit, Testcontainers for SQL Server and Redis) and on the Angular side (Vitest).
  • Custom Roslyn analyzers with code fixes that catch domain-specific mistakes at compile time.
  • Continuous integration on GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
